Spotlight: Leah Pfohl

If you could describe your personality as a season, which season would it be, and why?
Spring, for sure! Flower, the occasional sprinkle of rain, sunshine and fresh wind. Not too hot, not too cold. A few spicy sassy days and a few mellow days - ya know... my personality to a T 😜
What is one of your proudest accomplishments in life so far?
Starting The Fitted Gem! It’s been a dream of mine for years. Getting the guts up to finally do it, start a website, design plans + put myself out there on a public social media platform... it was scary! But I knew it was something I had to do - and viola!
As a young girl I struggled with body image. I was tiny, no doubt... but wanted to be tinier still. I did all the wrong things when it came to fitness & health. I did the extreme of everything! Finally, 5 years ago I found my balance in weightlifting and a lifestyle of eating called “If It Fits Your Macros”, and I now live a happy, healthy and flexible lifestyle that I thought could never be possible for me! So many people struggle with their relationship with food + exercise and my goal is to teach them how to live a beautiful flourishing lifestyle that they LOVE! If I can do it, they can too!💪🏽
Are you a Target or Walmart girl?
Targeetttttt! Though I do shop Walmart - I’m in love with targets style and home decor 🙈 And also... the the adorable cards you can find in the $1 section (loveee snail mail)!
What is your go-to Starbucks drink?
The Pink Drink! It's like a pink starburst in a cup✨
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Lying... and the seam on the toes of my socks. I wear them inside out 😂
How did you get into modest fashion?
I’ve always dressed modestly, and throughout the years I’ve evolved in fashion etc. Gym fashion consisted of Walmart skirts, and while I still wear them, I’m so excited to have better options like MOD!
What was your favorite part of 2017?
My favorite part of 2017 was DEFINITELY starting The Fitted Gem! God is so good and I finally accomplished a lifelong dream that up until that point - I hadn’t been able to accomplish!
Do you have a favorite quote or slogan?
“ Be content without stagnation” - Leah. Being happy in every facet of life is important - but never become stagnant just because you are content with where you are. Never stop pushing.
What's one piece of advice you would give yourself if you could have 5 years ago?
Do it. That thing you’ve always wanted to do? Do it. Time is going to pass anyways, you can choose whether you want to be left in the dust, or be the person in the lead... causing the dust. Stop comparing. Bloom on your own. Love yourself; and if you don’t - figure out why and fix it. You are your greatest advocate besides God. And lastly, never ever settle for less.
