If you could describe your personality as a animal, which animal would it be, and why?

Well, I wasn’t sure so I asked my husband. He says a meerkat because I’m cute and smart but I’m always anxious and sweat the small stuff. Always worrying about when the hyenas are going to come (Lion King 1 ½ reference). He’s very right.

What is your go-to Starbucks drink?

Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato--hot in the winter, iced in the spring/summer.

What is one of your proudest accomplishments in life so far?

Completing a full marathon!

What inspired you to become an advocate for a healthy lifestyle?

I started running/working out for fun a few years ago and it’s just become part of who I am. I enjoy how I feel when I workout and when I’m fueling my body with the right nutrition and I want to share that with other people.

Are you a Target or Walmart gal?

Target all the way!!

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Oh, this is tough. I feel like I have a lot of pet peeves. I guess when people don’t plan ahead and then expect you to drop everything to accommodate their schedule.

How did you get into modest fashion?

My parents instilled modesty in me when I was a kid and it’s carried through to my adult life.

Who's always in your corner whenever you need encouragement?

My husband, my dad, and Kris Newman.

What has been your favorite part of 2018 so far?

Non-athletic related: we bought a house in February and it’s being renovated. Athletic related: I PR’d my 5K distance in March.

Do you have a favorite quote or slogan?

Be better than yesterday.

What's one piece of advice you would give yourself if you could have 5 years ago?

Save more money. Don’t buy a new car.
