April Favorites!

April Favorites!

It is the beginning of April at least I hope. I don't know if I could handle another March. I've eaten my weight in cheese sticks and I'm starting to question whether or not workout clothes are acceptable fashion... every day. I am leaning towards yes!

Today I am sharing with you all the current things I am loving! From skincare to snacks and everything in-between.

Body Lotion
This is not a product but a daily ritual I have been using. Before I towel dry after stepping out of the shower I apply my body lotion. You will notice I also buy the jar lotions! I don't know-how in the world I spent 27 years without realizing jar lotion is the best! There is no spout to break I don't have to worry about lotion sitting at the bottom of the bottle. It is revolutionary. When you apply the lotion as soon as you step out of the shower you are locking in all the moisture.
"When you emerge from the shower, you have a higher concentration of moisture compared to the air — especially in the drier months with heaters. So water evaporates off the skin quickly, leaving the skin dry." Moisturizing, Dr. Engelman explains, traps some of that water on your skin. (That's why it's so important to do it immediately when you step out of the shower.) - Refinery29

Cetaphil Gentle Exfoliating Facial Cleanser
Everybody says FACE WASH! I don't know where I got the idea of "if it ain't scrubbing it ain't working" philosophy. I like grit - but gritty grit grit isn't always the best thing for a sensitive face. I love this face wash I feel like it works well while also not irritating my skin.
Purchase: Cetaphil Facial Cleanser

Neutrogena Face Lotion
The G.O.A.T of my skincare routine. I have been using this face lotion for years. Unscented Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Gel Face Moisturizer. For anything staying around for a long time on my face, I have switched to unscented products. The rumor is fragrance on your face for long periods of time can irritate your skin. This lotion is super lightweight my husband uses it too and loves it.

CeraVe Eye Repair Cream
Eye cream, cream for the eyes, creamy eyes? too far. This Cerva eye cream is nice. I have noticed that the darkness underneath my eyes has decreased and also it makes me feel more successful. It definitely could be a placebo, but it makes me feel like "Amy who is almost 30" not "Amy who still wears toe socks."
Purchase Eye Repair Cream

Hairtage Wiggle Room Hairspray
Hairtage. I first came across this brand on Instagram, she had a launch party and someone I follow on IG attended. It's a haircare brand exclusively sold at Walmart. I wasn't interested in every product she has, but I snagged the hair spray a month ago and I like it. It has a pretty strong scent but I don't mind it. It is sulfate, phthalate, paraben, silicone, gluten, aluminum, mineral oil, and cruelty-free. I don't know what all of that means, but it's on the front of the bottle so I am assuming it is very important. I like the hold, it doesn't make my hair fall out, and it lasts all day.

Unclutterd written by Courtney Ellis
I don't know what this book will mean to you, but I know what it has meant to me. I live in a small house, and sometimes I just feel like the walls are closing in on me. We were not created to live that way. I hope if you are seeking to maybe just free yourself from stuff you'll pick up this book.
Purchase Uncluttered

Moon Cheese
Bet you didn't see that one coming! I always pick this snack up at our local Big Lots! My husband says that Starbucks has it too. The first time I ate it, I didn't like it. The second time still didn't like it. The third time my tastebuds thoroughly enjoyed themselves. So give it another chance because you never know.
